A drug trafficker tied to juvenile fentanyl overdoses in Carrollton, Texas, and Flower Mound, Texas, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to distribution of a controlled substance, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Leigha Simonton announced. Magaly Mejia Cano, 20, was charged via criminal complaint in February. On Tuesday, she pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 21 years of age. She is facing up to 40 years in federal prison and a $2 million fine.
