LEWISVILLE — It's unfortunate, Evan Pustejovsky said, that these two teams had to play in the first round. Allen, ranked No. 3 in The Dallas Morning News' 6A poll, and Lewisville, ranked No. 6, that is. Allen coach Kim Fullerton said that the teams' two districts — District 5-6A and District 6-6A — have 'about 10 of the top 15 teams in the state'. '[Any] teams in the district would see each other in the state finals,' Pustejovsky said. If Friday's 6A Region I bi-district round game at Max Goldsmith Stadium really were a state championship caliber game as Pustejovsky said, consider Allen (16-2-5) a joyous champion.
